16.11.09 - Another long gap with no news, but we can make up for it by exclusively revealing the imminent release of a freshly-remastered new compilation album! "The Adventures! The Suspense!!" 17 tracks: Starts with The Invisible Man, the newest track is 3 Minutes 4U, the oldest track is Air Commodore. PLUS! - some stuff you have never heard. Now, isn't that exciting, folks?!
28.01.09 - First update of the new year brings us a collection of early cassette images & artwork, courtesy of Andy once more.

01.10.08 - Gosh, has a year really slipped by with no updates? Sorry, it was probably someone else's fault. Well, to keep you enthralled until The Trudy burst forth again with another flurry of activity, there are a couple of minor lyric corrections from Sue, as well a little photo montage. Also, since Darren's lovely pictures seem to have fallen off the net, we've mirrored them here. See the Pics page for both links.
13.08.07 - New song "La la love me" debuted at last Friday's gig (The best of this year's, so far). A few photos added on the Pics page. This site also thoroughly recommends The Scaramanga Six.
30.07.07 - Oh! and 3 Minutes 4U now available as real actual existing CDs from Banquet records.
21.07.07 - Updates! Some press clippings added to Nick's Gallery page. Fantastic photos from Darren added to the links page. Upcoming gig on August 10th in Herne Hill. Another review from MusicOMH. (Possible) lyrics to 3 Minutes 4 U added.
28.06.07 - The release date for 3 Minutes 4U is now 2nd July, on iTunes, Napster, Tunetribe etc etc (Planet Miron recommends Tunetribe, 'cos it doesn't use any of that nasty DRM muck). Also on 7" single on 16th July! Front and Back cover art now available on the Downloads page. Good reviews-a-go-go: The Organ, Subba-Cultcha, Whisperin' & Hollerin', Index7, Room13, Indie mp3, Playlouder, Frink, MusicOMH.
06.06.07 - NEWS! - The Button Mushrooms tell us "Friday 20th July will see Melissa Heathcote (The Trudy) play a special benefit gig in aid of 'The Big Issue' at The Prince of Wales, 23 Bridge Rd, East Molesey, Surrey (2mins from Hampton Court BR). At present this is likely to be an acoustic jazz/country set with a couple of special guests (hmmm wonder who they might be?). Free to get in but obviously it's for CHA-RA-TY so expect people with buckets and/or large hats collecting your loose change. . . . 9pm ish start."

08.11.05 - According to www.simonpicton.net , Melissa is scheduled to be doing a gig at The Blue Room, East Molesey on Nov 24th. Melissa also features on some of the free mp3s there.

02.11.05 - An email from the ever enigmatic Bexx Bissell informs us that "Tim Smith from Cardiacs has been occupying the Sonic Technician’s chair during recent recording sessions by the pop group known as The Trudy. 4 songs are being recorded at Apollo 8 studio.". You heard it here first, kids! Stay tuned for more news, just as soon as we get it.
